Comment:

Tape for Rob Conroy. He made no requests/suggestions, so I just made a tape that I would personally like. It's got a mixture of old and new, some obscurities and not-so obscure. Prof. Ratbaggy is Paul Kelly's alter-ego, New Orleans/Memphis Funk, R&B & Reggae Dub outfit. Sodastream track comes from their first ep, "enjoy". The the track comes from their over-looked last album "naked self". Title comes from Summer Suns song - a perfect power-pop nugget from Perth's best no-longer together outfit, fronted by the one and only Kim Williams - be on the lookout for his latest incarnation (in a sadcore stylee), Bashful...

As usual: this is excellent. I especially like the inclusion of the Bats and the Delgados.

Sue, this looks truly wonderful. Leading off with my favorite (okay, maybe "Renee" is my favorite) Left Banke song doesn't hurt... not to mention following it with Sparklehorse and one of my fave-rave Sixths tunes... and including the only early Bee Gees song that I DON'T have... I am soooo looking forward to getting this.
