Comment:

I found out on july 8 that one of my best friends had been killed (at 24). the next day, i waited for my boyfriend to get off work so he could drive me home and i needed to pass the time so i made a tape. it was just trying to keep my mind busy and distract myself, but it soon turned into a mourning/crying/remembering tape for me. i've listened to it about a million times since then, and it's been a good source of relief. i miss you, peter.

oops. that's supposed to be "everything i neec" by melissa ferrick, not "everything i want". bit of a difference, if you think about it.

A version of PJ Harvey's "Memphis" would have good here. And ooh, Amy Fairchild - Jeff Buckley song. I miss you, Jeff.

Anything that helps you grieve is a wonderful mix, in my opinion.

Merrie amsterburg's "Season of Rain" is possibly the best mourning album out there. Glad you had it at that time.
