A little corny, sometimes suggestive, but every song makes me smile. Singing In My Sleep- cliche' but justified by the edit I made to cut the end of the fade to seamlessly run into the alarm clock intro of Starfish And Coffee. The song also serves as one of the Semisonic "bookends." Another cool edit is at the end of Philosopy. Someone yells "1, 2, 3, 4," and amazingly, the next song on the mix, Stickshifts And Safetybelts, starts right on beat and at the same tempo. I wanted this mix to be full of short songs (eight of them are under three minutes) to keep me interested! The CD also has a nice stylistic metamorphosis throughout the 76 minutes. A great feelgood mix and one of my best. Enjoy! Note: The band Mango Jam and the artist Ben Wilinski are local artists from Minneapolis.
