Comment:
After the terrorist attacks on America, this mix seemed "appropriate." I felt that the lyrics to these songs corresponded to the situation in the world (and esp. NYC) that day. I just went with stuff off the top of my head.Feedback:
dang...thought ya' would have included "My Afghannie parking lot" by the Police (rare track); or "Osama bin Hidin'" by Wilson Owens (country track)...other'n that...great mix!
don't panic was on my WTC mix...i wish i'd thought of karma police!!
good mix, and great choice of a last song...others which spring to mind: 'If You Tolerate This' (Manic Street Preachers), 'A Singer Must Die' and 'The Partisan' (great ones about oppression and censorship by Leonard Cohen), and another rare but essential one: 'Afghanistan' ("Oh, the people are willing to fight with their lives...Afghanistan, Uh-Oh-Uh-Islam...") by...guess who? (worst thing is, this song by the former genius Cat Stevens actually exists!)
