Comment:
originally made with kate in mind, because she is in england and i haven't heard from her in a while (busy girl, i am sure...) ... but i think i've grown pretty attached to it....Feedback:
So very cool, indeed.
I got your comment about "Public Speaker", glad you like it. Adult rock. All of those artists are pretty on. That cd is mostly electro-acid stuff. I am intrigued by your knowledge of J-pop, perhaps the only time i have seen Puffy on a list. I used to live in China, so I know about all that. Ever listnen to Wang Fei? She rocks.
great soundscapes...bet the meticulously crafted art that accompanies your mix "packets" is *COOL* too ! ~:-P
This has very little, uh almost nothing, to do with your mix (very nice, fantastic variety, always loved that Desmond Dekker song), but I feel the need to complain. That goddamn Radio Birdman collection has yet to show ip in any stores up here (Vancouver CA) and I'm starting to contemplate consumer justice against Sub Pop (who, reliable sources inform me, are fucking around lots of their bands anyway, so they probly deserve it). I've been waiting years for an affordable Birdman retrospective and now I have to sit around being tortured by seeing their songs on other peoples mixes all over the place while I have yet to hear a note... Now if I could only direct one small percentage of this obsessiveness into my school work (I wouldn't be here trying to avoid it, right...)
*gasps for breath as she falls onto the floor twitching in ecstasy.*
yes... this tape is beautifull. and randy... just order the Radio Birdman online.

Wow. This is nice. How the hell did you fit all of this stuff onto a tape? *shakes head in bewilderment*
it's a 110 minute mix, done live with the equipment at the radio station, so the starts and ends all sort of weave together .. that's how i like to do it best, but don't always have time to lug all my music down there. actually, i only own about 50% of the records i used here, and the rest was pulled from the station's library. so. i kind of cheated. ^_^
me likes...
Oh, cool. Hey, ya know, I freely admit to raiding items from my friends' record collections...
