Comment:

Jez some fantastic songs from a few of my favourite albums this year. Cept for Augie's album which was last year, but it's a new recording of a bloody ripper of a song so I think it's earned its place. Five years time I'll put this mix on and it'll give me a fair indication of what I've been listening to this year...

And yeah, they are probably among the most 'grabby' songs from each album, but hey, I'm into it.

I swear I didn't see this mix before I made my latest! (i've got 3 of the same songs on mine - strokes, augie and art of fighting) I just picked 'em cos they're good songs too! Although I have not yet heard the new version of "here comes the night" - what's it from? (I hardly ever buy singles anymore, unless they're the clientele or b&s).

Yep, it's from the single of Here Comes The Night... It's not much different, the melody's changed in some bits, there's a new guitar part and some extra vocal harmonies. Plus there's a chilled out alternate take of Heartbeat & Sails on it too, a new song, and live recordings of the two covers they've been doing at the moment. Not too shabby, but nowhere near as good as Waltz or Memes.
