Some of these artists were never on Motown, ie Aretha Franklin.

aretha, al green, jackie wilson, ben e. king, percy sledge, sly stone all non-motown. the label's way overrated anyway, and so, so played. i'll take atlantic every time. that said, these are some of the best cuts.
