Comment:
Here's the concept, just as it was with Vol 1, which I posted the other day: my friend Greg and I are on some kind of road trip in the Deep South. We stop at a Waffle House for a bite to eat at 3:00 in the morning. As we eat, various other patrons drop quarters in the jukebox and play a variety of country, blues, pop, and other type songs that include a number of songs celebrating the Waffle House and, for some mysterious reason, the recording booth version of Bon Jovi's "Livin' On a Prayer," that Greg and I recorded in college back in the mid-80s. These CDs play equally well in shuffle mode as they do when the tracks are played sequentially. Some of the songs might not "fit" but anyone who has looked closely at the selections on a typical diner jukebox knows that there are always a few oddball selections that don't seem to make sense with the overall sound of the jukebox. But enough of my yakkin'.Feedback:
very strange...but cool
I won't waffle on this one -- THIS is the jukebox I want playing during my next 3 a.m. breakfast! - If I can swap you anything for these, just say the word & it's a deal.
A very nice second helping of waffles!
Just returned from a trip to Myrtle Beach and jacksonville.. There was a very special moment shared in a Waffle House that I will never forget.. Thanks for the memory.. The tunes fit the circumstance well!
I remember being on a trip to Florida with my folks when I was very young. We stopped at a truck stop in the south and I kept playing " I Was Made for Lovin' You" by Kiss over and over and over...
