excellent work
Sweet mix.
Some really great stuff, beej. That SA song is prob my second-fave tune on that album (I actually just picked "Maria in Motion" as the fave while doing my best-of 2001 mix that I posted yesterday).
where is that pedro the lion song from?

i wish i could tell you, nick... i received it on a mix cd myself.
maybe it is "criticism as inspiration". check out this quote from an article on their ep:
The album opens up with "Criticism As Inspiration," where Bazan makes a scathing revelation; "...it makes me feel so good to always tell you when you're wrong/the big man that i am to always have to put you down/it makes me look so good to always put you in your place/i could write it in a song but never say it to your face..." It's even better when Bazan sings it, his voice barely holding together at times.

that's gotta be the album... those are definitely the lyrics... it's my favorite song of theirs.
