Comment:
Tape for Jaime B. Probably some new stuff on here for her, like Thermos Cardy - the first incarnation of Sodastream, who I know she likes; Still, who are a local country-ish band from Perth; Bruce Haymes, who I don't know much about, except he does an excellent cover of "duchess" by Scott Walker, the song which appears on the "where joy kills sorrow" (all aussie artists covering some old classic country-ish tunes and then some) disc; Tucker B's, another band from Perth and Mick Thomas (ex weddings, parties, anything), who we are seeing live tomorrow, in a beer garden at 3:00 - temp is expected to be 80F, with plenty of beers and good tunes flowing. Title courtesy of "duchess". [addendum #1 : I forgot to thank Marty Andersen, for the stone roses track - thanks Marty!] [addendum #2: Mick Thomas was great - got to meet him and he even signed my cd! - not that it was too hard to meet him, as we were sitting at a table across from the stage, and close to where they went for their break - and the pub only fit 150 people.]Feedback:
another lovely mix. nice job!
ace. and that sounds like a helluva party.
this is excellent sue! i'm sure she'll love it.
Lovely, as always.
sue my darling girl, 'duchess' is my favourite scott walker song. a round of contented sighs, all in your honor. :)
berr garden at 3...ahhh....how pleasant. that's the exact kind of thing i see perth standing for, live music in beer garden's at 3! nice mix sue...good luckies selection!
Outstanding as usual Sue. Did your hubby recommend the CSN track?
Great job, Sue.
Ion, no he didn't - I actually made this mix when I had a day off from work (my daughter was sick, so I took the day off to stay with her), so hubby had nothing to do with it, although he was impressed by my choice.
