This is the cd i came up with of depressing songs... The name comes from the second song, "i did my best" by soul asylum which strikes me as one of the best songs about failure... i like to listen to depressing songs as sort of a catharsis, and i think this cd does the trick... i wasnt sure i wanted to have two tracks that about lennon's murder (late great johnny ace, empty garden) but i both songs are very touching and deserve their spots on this cd... im expecting that few people are familiar with the 18th track pity the child, but its very good for this cd...
