Comment:

Tape for Calum in New Zealand. He wanted to hear 60s pop and more. So I included a few 60s pop bands, like Montage and the Beach Boys. This tape includes the debut song of Perth band Bashful, featuring the multi-talented Kim Williams. The debut album has not been released yet, but the song "ghost" was played on local station RTR-fm, from which it was taken and put onto this tape. (Kim, I hope you don't mind me using the song - it sounds great, and it needs to be heard outside of Perth!). Thanks to Rob Conroy and James Roberts, for the Flaming Lips and Ladybug Transistor tracks, respectively. Title courtesy of Sodastream, who I had the pleasure of seeing live 2 weeks ago.

This mix is slammin'. Australia has been good to you. Am I correct in assuming the Neil Finn & Friends song is a Smiths' cover?

"Waitin' For a Superman" seems to make it on to most of my mixes. I love that song. I saw Patty Griffen a while ago and she played a great version of it.

This is great, Sue. I'm thinking of ordering some Sodastream from the Candle site--any suggestions for first purchases?
