Comment:

Two mix tapes for my Dad's 50th birthday, with some very difficult restrictions. I would use one song from each year he was alive, and only one song from each artist, and they all had to be songs my dad would like, which rules out a ton of punk, hip-hop, and a lot of other stuff.

Great idea and wonderful execution. Tough rules to work by but you pulled it off magnificently. Wonderful Bruce pick and TMBG...rock on!

CC Adcock. Wow. Stuck between Booker T and Lou Reed. hehe. Gotta love that. And I'm not even close to 50. Swingin' stuff.

All excellent choices here, especially with the restrictions. Great Seger & Fogerty picks!

This is so brilliant that I did the same thing for my Dad! I also added covers with pictures from the eras of his life. He absolutely, positively loved it. Thank you for such a wonderful idea.
