Comment:
another bunch of cheesy Beatles covers from the thrift store bins, in tribute to Eric Schmuckler's Beatlesongs project; this disc leans more to the lounge & E-Z listeningversions, so is either hard to take or comical depending on your mood. The cover image & title are from a right-wing 60's expose of the Fab Four as secret agents of the KGB.

Feedback:
GREAT! Tony Bennett's Eleanor Rigby is an annoying classic and the Goldie Hawn is inspriring. This mix has left me stirred as well as shaken.
Ha ha ha. Oh my god. Ha ha. That cover... I think I just injured my pancreas.
it's about time those nefarious fabsters were exposed for the threat they posed to freedom and the american way! i am officially reveling in cheese factor right now. fucking great job, mr. de vivre.
you get this stuff in the thrift store and i'm shelling out big bucks on ebay? no fair! you're also beating me to the punch on several tunes. looks hot enough to bathe in.
nice job on both . . . have you seen the new soundtrack to the movie 'I Am Sam'? All Beatles covers, by such random people as Eddie Vedder and Grandaddy. And some normals like Sarah McLachlan. Haven't heard it but I'm willing to bet it's not as cool and quirky as these.
ooooo - eclectic!!!!
