Comment:
i must be on a roll! or i'm drunk. or both. it's winter on this side of the world -- michigan, sun means nothing because it's still bitterly cold outside and i don't want to go see all the saturday night shows. i would rather stay inside, nurse my buzz (it's been a long week), and make SueEW a mix tape. she requested Japanese pop. i think she first commented on one of my mixes because of faye wong. so i've put some japanese 60's girl groups on, some mainstream Jpop stuff, and also some taiwanese stuff that i think may be accessible to someone who likes/can appreciate pop in a foreign language, maybe from different times. also included is some weirdness -- congress-woman malinda jackson parker, and charming hostess, for starters -- and some bone-chillingness -- langley schools music project. and maybe 8 1/2 minutes of "the chase" is gratuitous, but DAMN, has it been stuck in my head!!! HELP!!! hmm. i'm going to watch a movie now.Feedback:
This looks really cool even though I don't know any of the artists. Nice job.
Cindy - your description of this tape sounds really good! (cos, like Ion, I know only a few artists) And it's for me, so it's even better!
fun!
Yeah, I second the comments below... it seems really fun, but I really need to hear more of these folks. Your tapes/CDs never fail to intrigue me, though.
That Sugar Plant song is SO dreamy! But I need to hear more of these bands!
