This is a compilation of mine that I compiled for a friend of mine who said he hated soul music. Needless to say, he actually liked most of the stuff on this and now appreciates a lot more of this kinda stuff. How the hell could anyone dislike soul??!!! You will notice a considerable absence of what is known as 'nu-soul'. This is partly because I hate most of that stuff, I prefer my soul with gritty guitars, funky basslines, fatback drums and blazing horns. So sue me.
