Comment:
Mix for dj salieri, who requested a "depression" mix, hence the format. Maybe I should send him the suicide prevention hotline # with this mix as well, just in case. For me, I find that when I'm depressed, listening to depressing music (ie "sadcore" and the like) usually cheers me up for some reason. Title courtesy of Peter Milton-Walsh (of the Apartments).Feedback:
nice mix.
soft and good, not to depressive
yeah, sad music always makes me feel better. very apt and cool mix.
This is absolutely beautiful, Sue.
sue, i do believe taht i must go slash my wrists now...by the way, that's a compliment.
that molina and roberts song is so good.
stunning, sue. i've seen the luckies threetimes in the past three days...and they were in fine form (and they played first cousin), although no matter how much a group of 10 shouted ANDREWS PLEASURE< they wouldn't oblige!! great mix sue.
As you know, I'm more of a fan of the upbeat stuff, but this looks pretty great.
Great mix, as usual. A question--what do you think of the Pale Fountains? I'm considering whether to invest in their records (so far I've been disappointed by Shack and the Strands).
AHAHAH i saw the title of this mix and then the genre as depression. how appropriate. although he is my favoritepoet. nice mix by the way.
Ok, I know two songs on this and have heard of 9 bands. But the two I know are great, and the album (Worker's Paradise) that the Billy Bragg song is taken from is so awesome and so underrated. I do believe I've got Sue pegged as a bit of a fan of the Bard of Barking.
Hey Sue, Somerville is rocking as always. I love that Sodastream song, and it's not coincidence that it was on this mix - I'm pretty sure I spotted the title on this mix and had to find it! (I also grabbed the Billy Bragg track for future use.)
