Comment:
A special mix I whipped up for Rob Conroy. A blend of old favorites and some newer stuff that gets stuck in my head for days on end. p.s. the last track is by Emmit Rhodes' LA Beatle Psychedelia band from the late 60s. Too bad it hasn't been released on CD...the vinyl is nearly impossible to find and my cassette is 15 years old =(
Feedback:
Wow! This looks truly, truly great, Ms. Buglady. And I can help you with that Merry-Go-Round thing (or literally any other Emitt Rhodes stuff you may want) ... I've got a *great* sounding, ultra-clean vinyl-to-digital transfers of not only the Merry-Go-Round album but all of his solo records (aside from the first one, which I have on purchased CD)... plus I have a store-bought copy of the (now out-of-print) Emitt Rhodes best-of (which include "Listen, Listen"). Add that/those to your pile? :-)
Hell Yeah!!! That is so cool, I can't believe it! I was addicted to Rhino's release of the Merry-Go-Rounds best of...I think I wore the tape out.
p.s. I wanted to include "I'll Be Back Upon My Feet" by the Monkees, but my vinyl to digital transfer was hardly "ultra-clean"... the distorted bits were too distracting.
I can hook you up with that, as well... see my "My fingers are still burning from the last time" Monkees mix). :-)
This looks great. That Rob's a lucky man!
Now that I've heard this, I'd like to say that it definitely ranks as one of the best mixes I've ever received. Thanks, in particular, for that Mark Growden song... I really love it. :-)
how'd i miss this one the first time around? looks awesome. halo benders! yay!
I <3 the Velvet Monkeys
