Comment:
Those last two mixes made me a little nostalgic, so I dug up this long lost gem. There are quite a few San Francisco indie bands from the early 90s on this one...quirk pop mostly.Feedback:
Once again (I hope I'm not repeating myself endlessly), this is absolutely lovely. I think your mixes are closer to my actual taste than almost anyone's on the site.
Great stuff.
Fantastic
yesyes very nice and very nostalgic. overwhelming colorfast hasn't crossed my mind in a really long time, that's for sure. fun!
This is another great one, Buglady. I'm still looking at your old mixes for trade possibilities. And Rob, quit sucking up. To quote Michael Jackson -- "The girl is mine!" ;)
Holy Crap - I love that Shonen Knife song! Actually, chocobars are a staple of my atrocious diet. And the Donner Party pick is priceless - that's a Sesame Street song, right? Those first two DP lp's are two of the greatest things released in the late 80s (or was it early 90s). It is justice that they received a proper reissuing. By the way, Ion, anyone who quotes Michael Jackson may need immediate therapy. Heh.
Yes, Up and Down IS a Sesame Street song (I have it on cassette from an old, scratchy record), and have that Donner Party album on old, but excellent condition vinyl from years ago. I didn't know it had gotten reissued. I'll have to go and look for some of the ones I am missing. =)
They're both reissued (along with their unreleased third album) on a double-disc collection, Ms. Buglady. And worth scouring the ends of the earth to obtain. :-)
Thanks Rob =) -- I will definitely be on the hunt!
Liza Radley is my very favorite Jam song.
