Comment:

Tape for P the Swede. Theme is all-Australian, all the time, as Peter recently made me an all-Swedish mix. The tracks with * next to them represent Perth (or former) bands. The styles are all over the place on here - there's power-pop, indie pop, indie rock, folk, post-punk and more. This trade came about because Peter asked me about a band which turned out to be The Welcome Mat - a band featuring Wayne Connolly, who's now a well known producer who's worked with DM3, You Am I, Evan Dando and more.

Outstanding mix Sue, but where's the Men At Work? ;) Seriously, this mix looks as good as a cute cuddley koala.

Men at Work? Yeah, they may have fit, Ion, but I figured Peter would already know them and I wanted to make this an intro to cool Aussie music for him - and, as you can see - he knows a bunch of them already - so I guess a lot of my picks weren't obscure enough for him! And, yeah, koalas are cute - but watch out, they can scratch you! ;)
