Comment:

I made this mix for myself, as I haven't had a chance to do that in a long time. It's just a bunch a songs that I love. Thanks to Rob C, Marty A, Phallexlloyd and Kim W for some of the inclusions. Title courtesy of Nick Drake.

Wreckless Eric!
"police car" was my favorite song when i was three, before i realized how weird it was for a three year old to listen to stiff records compilations.
This is pretty rad all around, though.

Cool. I'm sure the recipient of this mix will be very happy with it! ;) I just bought a Stiff Records compilation this week (but I'm a bit older than three!)

Sue, do you have that Tim Buckley on the Monkees on mp3? I have been desperately seeking that version in that format. Thanks!

Ion: the receipient of this is *me*. Of course, I will make copies for whomever would like one (incl. Rob). Mel: the Tim Buckley song comes off the "morning glory" anthology. I'm not a mp3 person, so every mix I make comes from stuff in my collection - either cds, vinyl or cassette.

You should be applauded for only using music from your own collection. Not many people on this board can say that. Also I knew you were the recipient, that's why I knew you'd be happy with it! ;) Still enjoying the "Summer" mix BTW.

Great, great mix. Congratulations on making "Mix Of The Week". I'm glad you found use for the VB song. I've recently obtained a copy of "Opposite Sex" (via a tip from this site) and will be making a compilation of the VB's music. Let me know if you want a copy.

I remember the Cryan Shames from my childhood.. for some reason we had that record with the sunrise on it and my brother and I really liked the song "First Train to California" but it's been a lifetime since I've heard anyone mention the band.. I'll have to see if I can track down that album on CD.. Love the Teenage Fanclub and Sebadoh tracks..

Did you used to watch a lot of Saturday morning cartoons, too?
They altered my worldview.

wreckless eric's "whole wide world" is one of my favorites and was included on a mix of mine, which may or may not have been uploaded here. anyone who includes a vulgar boatmen and a shoes song is definitely cool in my book.
