Comment:
I made this mix for myself, as I haven't had a chance to do that in a long time. It's just a bunch a songs that I love. Thanks to Rob C, Marty A, Phallexlloyd and Kim W for some of the inclusions. Title courtesy of Nick Drake.Feedback:
tim buckley and death cab and nick drake and sebadoh and the clientele. that's what I'M talking about.
This is absolutely first-rate. One of your best, by far. :-)
Thanks, Rob - should I include a copy of this in your next shipment?
lovely stuff, have my mixes come to Australia yet?
teenage fanclub. great song from a great album. death cab for cutie and ida on the same mix. brilliant. i dig the tim buckley song. i remember watching that (i think it was on the frodis episode) as a kid when they were rerunning the monkees on mtv. btw, you must have "hear no evil" as well...hehehe.
WOW...
this is awesome

Wreckless Eric!
"police car" was my favorite song when i was three, before i realized how weird it was for a three year old to listen to stiff records compilations.
This is pretty rad all around, though.

Sure, Sue, that sounds great. :-)
Cool. I'm sure the recipient of this mix will be very happy with it! ;) I just bought a Stiff Records compilation this week (but I'm a bit older than three!)
Sue, do you have that Tim Buckley on the Monkees on mp3? I have been desperately seeking that version in that format. Thanks!
Ion: the receipient of this is *me*. Of course, I will make copies for whomever would like one (incl. Rob). Mel: the Tim Buckley song comes off the "morning glory" anthology. I'm not a mp3 person, so every mix I make comes from stuff in my collection - either cds, vinyl or cassette.
I have nothing amazingly rock to say. But this is so great.
this is your best mix yet. i especially love "what you do to me".
You should be applauded for only using music from your own collection. Not many people on this board can say that. Also I knew you were the recipient, that's why I knew you'd be happy with it! ;) Still enjoying the "Summer" mix BTW.
Glorious mix. Good for you.
another great one sue. congrats on the whole "mix o' the week thing" rock on.
CONGRATULATIONS !!! Another great mix from down under.
Hey Sue-- great mix and congratulations! You Rock! =) This one would make a good trade...
another fantastic mix! how do you do it? volume.
Great, great mix. Congratulations on making "Mix Of The Week". I'm glad you found use for the VB song. I've recently obtained a copy of "Opposite Sex" (via a tip from this site) and will be making a compilation of the VB's music. Let me know if you want a copy.
I love your mix!
I remember the Cryan Shames from my childhood.. for some reason we had that record with the sunrise on it and my brother and I really liked the song "First Train to California" but it's been a lifetime since I've heard anyone mention the band.. I'll have to see if I can track down that album on CD.. Love the Teenage Fanclub and Sebadoh tracks..
great great mix, sue, and congrats as well!
Great mix!
I love the Red House Painters.
Did you used to watch a lot of Saturday morning cartoons, too?
They altered my worldview.

Great job!!!!!
Absolutely outstanding work (and from what I can tell, you're consistent as hell, too!).
Get a job at a record label.

good stuff. i love that demo of "brown eyes". also-- if you don't have all of ida's 7"s and compilation tracks and stuff, email me and i'll send you a compilation or something. *i
Holy heck! This is fab-o!
i've checked all your mix tapes and they're ususally great but this, this one is SUPREME.
thanks for sharing :)
thanks for sharing :)
wreckless eric's "whole wide world" is one of my favorites and was included on a mix of mine, which may or may not have been uploaded here. anyone who includes a vulgar boatmen and a shoes song is definitely cool in my book.
this is really wonderful. i'm glad you got mix of the week. :)
