Upon hearing the news that a body that is more than likely that of Layne Staley of Alice In Chains fame has been found in Staley's home, I immediately went on an Alice In Chains bender, and decided to throw this together...I know it's short, and I'm sure I've missed a few, but it's what I came up with on short notice.

yes, i finally found all sorts of articles, but only several hours after my initial inquiries. unconfirmed news about dead recluses travels slow. argghh. anyway, mix-wise, give consideration to ian curtis of joy division and mark sandman of morphine.
