Comment:

inspired by SueEW's amazing mix of the week (i nicked a few songs)...i was going for something like "you're frozen for 30 years and you're thrust into the 90s" hence the austin powers/dr evil quote. I also had to add the rutles and spinal tap for humor's sake "listen (shhh) to what the flower people say." ha ha. dead on parody. when all else fails..."hey, it's post-modernist."

Gee, this is swell. The Zombies track is one of my fave by them - my wife and I had 2 friends play it at our wedding. Yeah, it's corny - but who cares! And the Spinal Tap track is brilliant - better than most of the actual songs from that period.

This is awesome. And Sean, I *know* who those two friends are... one of them is the vocalist for the esteemed Donut People (potentially renamed the Protection Spells)... ;-)

Another outstanding mix. I like your La's-Who transition, and all the individual songs as well.

Oh wow, now I'm being copied! I'm so very flattered. This is a wonderful mix - you wanna trade this for a copy of "i never felt magic..."? (there are really only 2 of the same songs)

yay! this is wonderful. mwah! mwah! i should like to do a mix trade with you sometime if you'd be up for it. incidentally, my old boyfriend works at a museum and once he and i came in during an off day, this was in winter, we overheard some girl say, 'they look like they're from austin powers' and i grin whenever i think of it. in fact i'm all agrin now!
