XMAS SAMPLER 2000 - Disk #1

So, since we are in the year 2000, and all, ya know... "The Future" and such, i fugured that it was time to raise the proverbial bar, get my lifestyle up that 15%, and "Get Digi Wit It". So what you have in your hands here is a Compact Disc. Many of you may remember when these shiny little suckers first hit the consumer market. Fascinating they were! I for one didn't get one until 1992 (quite late in the real scheme of things, really, being a white-boy music-lover private-college kinda-guy). A number of these tracks are even from MP3's! The "Future!" I say! Which brings me to a question: Do lots of people have CD players in their cars now-a-days? Well, for you hi-tech peeps out there - Enjoy. For you that still have cassette tape players you will have to dub your own tapes. I am sorry. I just wanted so badly to live in 'the future' that I just couldn't resist this CD cooker. I would suggest a 90 minute tape for dubbing. Then YOU can add a few of YOUR favorite songs from 2000! I respectfully ask that no Limp Bizkit, Creed, or Dave Matthews Band, be put on a tape with "My Songs". Radiohead may fit nicely on this tape? I don't know... I don't really get that radiohead. There is a noticable lack of Thrill Kill Kult on this volume, which is a point of guilt, and regret on my part. Again, I am sorry. You probably don't care, but it really tears me up inside. I am considering a second/companion volume to this year's sampler - Would you like one? It will be similar to this one... It may be better? It may be worse? It's hard to say. But it will be free if you ask for one. Sincerley, Your Friend, Garret Scullin.

Sweet mix. I *do* have a cd player in my car - since about 2 months ago - and I only changed because my cassette player ate one of my favourite tapes (boo hoo). But I still carry around a cassette walkperson, to enjoy mixtapes - which still rock. (and i wouldn't dare put any limp shitbizkit, crud or stale matthews band on any of *my* mixes, by the way.)
