Comment:

This mix is made for someone who has intimidatingly cool music tastes - he's always telling me that when I'm left to my own devices my music taste "goes to shit." So this should be another nail in the coffin of my recalictrant uncoolness, I guess (the Sergio Mendes is it's death knell). It's also a reflection of the insomnia-inspired halflife I've been experiencing lately and how everything seems suspiciously threatening. Like the fact that I just noticed that this mix has two songs by groups with "brothers" in their name... Coincidence?

This is a cool mix, you probably dig music on at least the same level as your friend... I would also like to state for the record that I am the proud owner of a polar bear; and after $39,000 in psychiatrist bills and medication, he does not get sad anymore.

I remember the poor sad polar bears at the Zoo here in Vancouver....they would plod along in the same patterns day after day, stuck in a life of horrible monotony in a concrete pen far from their homes. They do get sad...sad and depressed.

Libel and slander, all of it. "Intimidatingly cool music tastes" indeed! Nothing could be further from the truth - I listen to some of the worst crap imaginable (if we are using the Indier-Than-Thou-Pretension Scale), stuff that would make most of the folks here at this site cringe, weep or vomit (or all three at once). I don't begrudge anyone the music they listen to, that includes you, toots. Bouf!
