Comment:

this is a mix centered around the instrumental stuff. it's not that the rest is filler, but rather that the words themselves are meant more to create a mood rather than serve us with a message.
the tape is based around "chunks of syrup", the adagio, the string quartet, "piper" and "at the birthday party". i recently bought bablicon's cd, "in a different city", and it's very much part of what inspired me to make this tape. it's for a lonely friend in college. it covers most of her moods, so there's always something to empathize with her.

Nice Phish picks. I love Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, funny though, he's the one hit wonder of the classical world. He's classical music's Eddie Grant.

ha ha, good point. it's too bad, if you've ever heard any of his other stuff, a lot of it's pretty good. i have a cd of some young female violinist playing a piece of his and one of edgar meyer's. they're both lovely pieces. too bad i can't remember her name, but it was pretty popular when it came out a year or two ago.
