Comment:

I made this mix to listen to at work in my past life as a professional
picture framer. Unfortunately, I think I was the only one who liked
listening to it. P.S. This is now available on 2 CDs.

Love those Big Star, Mel and Joni picks...and you can't go wrong by me w/the Pink Panther! I hope in your next life you're reincarnated as someone w/cooler co-workers (or as someone who doesn't have to work at all!)

superb. Your mixes are eccentric and brilliant. I really like nearly all of these songs and I definitely want this mix. Is it available as a cd?

Captain Kangaroo is an icon for people born in the 60s. He hosted a kid's TV show when I was a kid, with Mr. Greenjeans and a bunny puppet that wore glasses and loved carrots. I preferred him to Mr. Rogers, personally.

This looks great, buglady. I've always wanted to use that title, too, but as I don't actually own that Statler Brothers classic, I've never had the occasion. :-)

C'mon! We all know that ragin' Mr. Rogers could kick Captain Kangaroo's hairy butt seven days a week. And King Friday and Lady Elaine Fairchild, as old as they are, could open a can of whoop-ass on Mr. Greenjeans and that sad little bunny sock puppet. Oh, did I mention I liked your mix?

Actually, I thought King Friday and Lady Elaine were extremely creepy.

Oh, come on - Capt Kangaroo was much cooler than Mr Rogers! What about that cardigan Mr Rogers used to wear?

WOW! Wish you still had this mix live. I LOVE all the songs (OK, I don't know a few of the contemporary songs), especially "If I Knew You Were Comin'..." and "Three Little Fishies" -- my mom used to sing these to me. If you happen to re-load these, it would be wonderous! How can anyone hate on a mix that includes Tom Waits, Jo Stafford, Patti Page, Mancini AND Mel Torme!?!?!? GENIUS!
