Press Play and Chill, Vol. 1- The Trip Mix
This mix cd is a concept album. It happen somewhat by accident. A few songs in, I noticed a storyline was forming. A family- mother, father, son, and daughter are the characters- the daughter beicoming the main character of the mix. The father is abusive, the mother is the protector, the daughter seeks refuge from her abusive father by running away, and the son rebels against father. Essentially, the story starts on Moog Island. The group Air is positioned throughout as "preface" to next segment of cd. The intermission warm up for the next act, if you will. Anyway, I'll shut up...just look at the titles of the songs, the order they are in, and listen to the words of the songs. The story will appear, great soundtrack and all. Oh, and enjoy the eerie close...Billie Holiday with Lady Sings The Blues....
