Comment:

Tape for Pete 'Saveloy'. Included a good smattering of Aussie music for him, that he may not have heard before, including some new purchases for me, like the "do the pop" cd - collection of aussie garage rock - selections include the Someloves (Dom Mariani's band after the Stems, with Darryl Mather, of the Orange Humble Band); and the Exploding White Mice; other new stuff includes the Stoneage Hearts - Danny McDonald's (of P76) "garage" band, and Jack and the Beanstalk's new "Vodka Line" ep, (Joe Algeri's power pop band - Joe is from Perth but is now living in Sweden). Thanks to a couple people, including Buglady, for the Wilco track, Ion Moe, for the WCPAEB, and P the Swede, for Broder Daniel. Title courtesy of Joe Algeri.

Bashful is a 'sad-core' band which features my good friend Kim Williams (who used to front the power pop band Summer Suns, which featured Dom Mariani in one of it's line ups) - Bashful is basically Kim on guitar/vocals and Kathy on violin - nothing like he used to play in SS, but still good.

This is very cool, Sue. I'll need to check out the Someloves. Great Tommy Keene and Summer Suns picks.
