Comment:
This mix is named after the book that I was reading while working on the playlist for the disc. If you've got time on your hands, read "A Heartbreaking Work Of Staggering Genius" by Dave Eggers. Guaranteed laughs (and maybe even a few tears...).Oh, I also wanted to acknowledge
Gen-tree because I checked out the Smiths cover from one of their posted mixes...thanks!!
Feedback:
i must say, you won me on the title, being one of my very favorite books. excellent idea, good choices on rufus and the smiths cover! make sure you read (if you haven't) the supplement to the book, 'mistakes we knew we were making'. some of the funniest shit i have ever seen in print.
I tried reading that book but didn't get too far after his Real World interview...is it worth reading the rest of the book or is it another Catcher in the Rye
This mix is fantastic. Oh yeah.
Great mix. Yipee.
Subtract the emo elements, and you've got a lot of really great tracks... though I'm more of the Preston School of Industry fan club, post-Pavement.
I love the photograph, by the way.
