Comment:
I made this in a I-am-free-from-the-chains-that-are-school frenzy; couldn't help throwing in a few summertime standards.
Feedback:
I dig this. Im especially intrigued by the Mozart thrown in the mix.
I always knew Gonzo was a Weezer fan. Great mix and kudos for getting BAD II in on it. Plus Rudie Can't Fail? My favorite all time Clash song. Fun all around.
Many thanks!
fantastic, especially the billie holiday and the cat stevens.
Cool eclectic mix. Love your Joni, Cat Stevens picks.
that cover made me giggle! that is one of the raddest videos I've ever seen. hehehee. :) it totally rocks and rolls. as does this mix! :) yippeee.
oh how i love the diversity
Very nice mix. Wanna do a trade?
Great diversity, awesome tape cover!
That's right- throw a little Mozart in there with the Violent Femmes. Love that. And everytime I see anyone use "Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans?", it makes me sad--because I once had and lost an incredible version of it (don't remember where I got it), and all the versions I've heard since then are kind of ho-hum. Makes me wonder which one you have (and if I'm just imagining how incredible the one I had was).
Just to reaffirm this: this is such an amazing mix tape that it makes me very, very happy to own it. I listen to it allll the time.
Oh Russ, you just make my day with your sweetness. :)
Oh--and your fabulous mixes, of course!
this is highly lovely.
