Comment:
This one came out relatively strangely; I took the nineteen songs I wanted to include, put them in Excel and randomized them, and then I left this order for the CD. It makes for a few weird moments--absolutely no segue between Neutral Milk Hotel and Of Montreal, for instance, and the Sonic Youth song is sandwiched between two downbeat, trippy tunes--but I wanted it to evoke the sloth and haphazardness of a summer day where you're bored and have nothing else to do. I think it does that somewhat well; it's an interesting experiment if nothing else.Feedback:
Nice idea - and "Neon Golden" is beautiful. (I tried something like this once for a friend; filled up a CD jukebox, hit random, and then recorded the songs in the order they played until the tape ran out. It did make for some weird moments, indeed, but I enjoyed seeing what song would play next, and sometimes the machine came up with some great segues.)
The idea sounds like fun, and it looks like you got lucky!
