My friend Bridget and I trade a lot of mixes, so earlier this year, I thought I'd flip the script (uh, so to speak) and make an 80s theme mix for her. Some of the songs on here are what you'd consider "80s songs," whereas others are just great songs that happened to be from the 80s. And yes, on this mix, I let the world know of my hidden love for Toad the Wet Sprocket! Consider me out of the closet!

The Jam originally recorded it, but it was never released by them until the "Extras" album in 1993.

I like the variety! It's nice to see Marshall Crenshaw on a mix--he of the catchy pop hook that never quite caught on. Kind of like Costello and Weller, unappreciated by the masses. But that's okay--they don't know what they're missing.
