A couple years ago, it was my Dad's birthday, and I was broke. (In fact, I had recently borrowed $750 from him which I had yet to pay back, hence the title...)So I did what all good cheap bastards do, and made him a mix tape for a gift. Knowing that he didn't get out much and that he liked blues (two things I can't really say for myself), I tried to make something a little mellow-ish and slightly jazz-tinged that he'd enjoy. Apprently, he liked it a lot, so I can now relish the idea of my Dad playing a little Dub Narcotc Sound System between his Muddy Waters and Taj Mahal.
