My old roommate Vic is teaching in Japan, and he wanted me to make a mix of "American songs" for his friend Kieyo over there. All he gave me to go on is that "she likes Weezer." Hm. Basically, the endeavour wrought for the most part some pretty standard recent indie pop/rock, but hopefully this anonymous Japanese Weezer fan will like it.

this looks good, even a non-weezer fan can like it. (like me). although i guess that's not really true, as i like weezer a bit.

If she said she liked Weezer, then my guess is she liked the song "Buddy Holly" which is nothing like anything else they did or like most other alternative bands have done. You might look into some 50's-60's rock as an alternative.
