My most recent summer opus, a double disc representing the ying & yang of my musical tastes. Yes, there's house music on here...on purpose.

This mix is my valentine to Southern California, having left San Diego about a year ago. Certainly my memories of sweet n' sleazy LA heavily influenced the cheezier aspects. There's definitely a need to reference the disposable catchy crap that's out there right this second with some venerable indie pop. Such was my experience in So Cal. If I were still there I imagine I'd be bopping to all this stuff under the harsh, unforgiving summer sun.

Since I also tend to think of my mixes as soundtracks for movies that don't exist, "Weapon of Choice" would be about love and betrayal in the LA gay porn underworld. Colin Farrell and Jack Black would star.
