I made this mix at the request of my best friend, but I think it comes off pretty well. 79 minutes, culled from a little over three hours' worth of material. I was oh so tempted to make it a double-disc comp, but I can always go back and make a sequel if this one goes over well.

I've been searching all over the place for a recording of the Afghan Whigs live cover of "Never Take the Place of Your Man," which rocks like crazy. You might dig the Waterboys' ultra-melodramatic live version of "Purple Rain" too, and this mix definitely deserves a sequel. Great stuff.
I love that Luka Bloom cover. Have you heard Ani Difranco's version? It's sexy as hell.
