Comment:
After being asked to make a mix tape for a friend's 18th, I made up this quickie tape on a 60 minute cassette. I like mixin' up a bit of new stuff that appeals to me (like Nelly, and this Destiny's Child tracks - not artists I usually love, but they've got good form here) with a bit of the old stuff (like Bill Withers, who is an absolute god). After making a lot of party mixes, I'd say the key is to satisfy everything; funky, booty-shakin' tracks for the girls (and let's face it, a fair few of the guys) such as Britney, Destiny's Child, Christina maybe, a bit of rock for the guys like New Order, Strokes, AC/DC, Cold Chisel and so on, and a few classics EVERYONE loves like 'Baby Got Back' or 'Sweet Home Alabama.' Of course, remember to end the mix with a soft chillin' song everyone knows and loves - Red Hot Chili Peppers are perfect for this.Rock on!
