Comment:

Part II of the custom mixes made for my friends in Madison. This one's mostly fun pop-y music, the title is from the night Dan and I stayed up much too late watching Eraserhead (much too late to be watching Eraserhead, more like) and so some tracks are from other Lynch movies -- #1 from Mulholland Drive and 11 and 12 from Lost Highway. Thanks to Mr. Conroy for the Scott Walker track (Rob, you don't know my friends but trust me, it'll be the best thing ever recorded for about a week) and . . . I don't know why it was this particular album to do it but I am suddenly completely in love with the Flaming Lips, to a scary degree. ok the end.

You're welcome. A very cool mix, for sure. I so love the Flaming Lips, myself, although I think I'm the only person on the planet who's disappointed with the new album on one and a half listens...

Nice choice on the first track. A friend of mine wants it for accompaniment to her short film, which involves: happy women running around, robbing banks, murdering people, and then being fried in heavily stylized electric chairs. Oh, and ditto on the new Flaming Lips album Mr. Conroy--I'm not diggin it as much as I'd hoped.

there's so much good stuff on here--esp. the stripes doing dylan and frank's freedom rock. the new lips album may not be as good as the soft bulletin, but fight test is a winner.

By the way, Angel, that Superchunk recording is one of my absolute favorite recordings by anyone at any point in time.

this mix looks great! I miss that Selector song. Had it on a tape once, don't know where it went. I'd love to trade for this!
And by the way, was just listening to the Telepathic Surgery cd 2 nights ago...man, that one is the best!

and yet, no death cab or dismemberment plan. i am perplexed by your choice of title. *grin* nice mix and hooray for superchunk's version of 100,000 fireflies.
