Comment:

In response to the recent rockabilly posts here lately, I figured I would give it's punk offshoot, psychobilly, its due. Personally, I love both genres, so it was hard not to mix slower rockabilly in here with the harder, faster stuff. Basically, for me, it comes down to a love of the sound that a big stand-up bass makes. Bonus points go to those who know where the paraphrased title comes from. (Come on, it shouldn't be too hard)

I love this , lot of stuff I haven't heard before on here. I believe the title is a line from "Caddyshack" am I right?

Going to see Big Sandy tonight, in fact. What a great performer he is.

Greaseball is right, the title does come from Caddyshack - although I wasn't sure on Billy Barool's spelling. I just guessed as well as I could.

Sean, I've seen Big Sandy twice now (once with the fly-rite boys, once with los straitjackets) and you're right, he is a great performer. In fact, he was just in Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago for Summerfest. He performed with both groups that night. Unfortunately, I missed it - but Los Straitjackets are due back in town on the 6th, this time with the Fleshtones singer. Should be a blast.
