Comment:
All the "through the years" flashback mixes by Ryan Moore inspired me to throw this little ditty together. This incorporates the time in my life between 7th grade and my senior year of H.S. One thing you can say after perusing this list of guilty pleasures is that "Top 40" radio back in those days, was eclectic to say the least. I dare you not to admit that you secretly loved at least a handful of these tunes.PS...Even though it came out in early 1980, I stuck "Sausalito Summer night" by Diesel in here because it's one of my all time favorites and it can't even be considered a "one hit wonder", more like a "half hit wonder". I think it may have barely found it's way into the top 40. It caught my ear because of the great guitar hook and the fact that it's about driving a Rambler American cross country. I owned a 1968 rambler in the late '70's. ...."The engine's thumpin' like a disco, we ought to dump her in the bay...." Kick a$$ baby!!!!
Feedback:
A sobering thought: Any song ever made has to be *somebody's* favorite song! So where's "Let Her In" by John Travolta?
