Comment:
A fellow Paul Weller fan on an email list I belong to burned a bootleg disc for me, so I felt compelled to give her something in return. So while visiting my folks last weekend, I burned her this; my first ever mix CD. I had been holding out against the onslaught of technology, preferring the earthiness of mix tapes, but after testing my folks', I think I'll go buy a CD burner. I like how it takes about a third of the time to make the disc, but I also hate how you can't enjoy the music as you make it. Blech. Anyway, the disc is mostly comprised of my usual "mix tape" songs, but I felt the need to post it anyway.Feedback:
Very good
Solid effort Joel...,you're right about the "onslaught"......you'll get used to it, and---apreciate more with time. (That's the key word. Time.)
A lot of great indie artists. The Hang Ups, Pinback, Orange Peels, etc.
I LOVE that Beulah song. Good choice.
Realy great stuff, Joel. I, too, have yet to take the plunge and buy a burner, but I know it's something I must do...
Really digging on the Left Banke and the Zombies! Nice stuff all around!
Hissss Baby!!!
Hissss Baby!!!
Good stuff, Joel. Love the Prekop, Tahiti 80, and Isley Brothers tracks especially.
This is great. I heard a Masters of the Hemisphere song on the radio that I really liked, but of course I can't remember the name of it now.
I really like the look of this, Joel. By the way thanks for picking my mix as a favourite. Anytime you would like a trade, just say so! Good luck with the burner.
This is excellent! Don't know how I missed it the first time. Your praise/complaints about CD burners are the same as mine. And like Gerry says, if you'd like to trade...
