Comment:
I think that more books should have soundtracks, so this is my imaginary soundtrack to this one. I'm a fan of Tom Robbins' writing, and this is one of my favorites by him. I only got turned onto 'Still Life With Woodpecker' earlier this year, and I'm currently finishing up 'Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates'. Anybody who's read 'Still Life...' knows the significance of most of these songs. The rest I just threw in there because they seemed to fit. I also tried to put them in the order they would go in in the book, except for the tune by the Champs. It should idealistically go between Sam the Sham and War, but I didn't have the song in my arsenal at the time So, this is the amended version with it at the end. To anyone who's read the book, let me know if there's any song I should have put on that I missed.Feedback:
Nice. I mighta' put a bit of Paul Horn's "Inside the Great Pyramid"...TR is a fav' author, one among many. But unlike any other.
I haven't read the book, but your mix is pretty cool, so maybe I will.
Haven't read him or it, but I love your idea.
amazing! wonderful! I love it! the mix AND the book! YEAHHHHH!
wow! and wow. and more wow. :)
woohoo! Tom Robbins!
Sherrod...., I've not heard it but.....Buck O'Nine's "Peach Fish" would most certainly fit!
Thanks, Valis. I got the track. It's an instrumental ska song, but if I ever decide to redo this mix again it's going on there. Appreciate the heads-up.
You're welcome...., muchly. Ska is good fer ya'...., I'm still thinkin' a pice of Paul Horn "Inside the Great Pyramid" would be a necessity....
wow, i know i'm late but...this rocks
Tom Robbins... wow, great writer... definitely a good companion to pop music. i can just see him praising "Genius Of Love" to the skies, y'know.
