Everyone has known loss. This mix is just to say I Miss You. It's half pining for a departed lover/half mourning for New York over the loss they suffered over two years ago, along with something else altogether. This mix is a little broader than just the "Depression" tag, but that's the closest category I could find to put it in. Missing my late uncle, whose birthday was Octobr 10th; losing Johnny Cash, Elliott Smith; and commemorating the tragedy of September 11, 2001, just got to me. So, indulge me if you will, turn on the bright lights, and shed a tear if it makes you feel better.

I feel it too. The Elvis Costello song really sets a mood. My latest mix from the other night was stuck in a similar moment. Things may not always get better but we move on... forward anyway.
