Not to burst your bubble man, but half of this stuff isn't punk. There's a lot of the roots of punk, and a lot of indie mixed in with the punk, but it's been mislabeled... Good mix though.

i don't care if they called indie or what, punk is an attitude and Vue are definitive more punk than ..say Offspring

the term 'punk' has become meaningless since nowadays it stands for mainstream pop/rock-bands like Offspring and Blink 182, who have more in common with Kiss or Cheap Trick (both better bands) than The Sex Pistols or The Ramones. And 'indie' comes from 'independent' so that's actually not a musical genre at all. Oh yeah, by the way, did i mention this is an excellent mix?

i noticed the emo on this and thought to myself about reading into the tracks futher. Most of this music isn't punk.. Stones, MC5, The Kinks, and The Who are bands that may have had the energy captured in punk today, but predate the punk movement. Not to bad of a mix.. You could put a lot more edge to this though.

i agree with robbert, the term "punk" is meaningless and therefore malleable.

i actually didn't mean to label this as a "punk" mix but whatever. the genre's that are listed to select from are pretty limiting don't ya think. whatever that tape is now a "teenage music" tape.

Nice mix! A good selection of old and new bands who rock. I especially dig the songs from the WHo, the Pattern, the (I)NC, the White Stripes, the Hives, and........too many others!
