Comment:

My friend Trevor wrote a script called "Stagger Lee." He describes it as "Wild at Heart" meets "Dog Day Afternoon." It's a very violent movie with lots of over-the-top action, some comedy, and a romantic story. All the characters in the film are named after popular '50s songs (like Stagger Lee, Maybellene, Lucille, Miss Molly, etc.). They also dress like people from the '50s, but the set design is described as "the future, as people in the '50s imagined it would look." Very retro-modern. I was asked to come up with ideas for a soundtrack, even though I haven't seen the whole script yet. Trevor described certain scenes for me & asked me to come up with songs that fit. We dug through my collection for a few hours, talked about the scenes & characters, listened to hundreds of songs, argued a lot, and finally settled on this 90-minute mix.
