Comment:
Seems we're going through a bit of a rock renaissance now. And just as the original Renaissance brought about some genius stuff (uh, obviously), this rock renaissance has uncovered some bands that do a lot for me. So this is a collection of the 'new rock,' alternated with the 'old rock' which I love. Sure, a lot of the old-school rockers will claim this is derivative crap from kids who owned a Velvet Underground, a Pink Floyd, a Doors, a Ramones and a Television album. But these people need to see that these bands are coming up with gold. Really! There are, of course, many other bands worthy of being included in the Rock Renaissance, but this is the rock mix CD I made for a friend who wanted to know about this renaissance, as well as getting down with a bit of the old rock. (He fuckin' loved it, which was nice).
Feedback:
Nice work...., BRMC is kickin' up some dust in my stereo!
the old and the new complement each other brilliantly! Great stuff
Damn straight! It's about time I see BRMC on more mixes, a future classic if there ever was one!
Wow. This is really cool. Love the Floyd choice.
This is really good. That T(I)NC song makes me wanna run through my house moshing and breaking stuff.
yeah i love the selection of bands of course, but i think the real greatness here is in the song selection. cheers on picking songs that may not be the artists' most popular song. double cheers on judy is a punk.
