Comment:

Seems we're going through a bit of a rock renaissance now. And just as the original Renaissance brought about some genius stuff (uh, obviously), this rock renaissance has uncovered some bands that do a lot for me. So this is a collection of the 'new rock,' alternated with the 'old rock' which I love. Sure, a lot of the old-school rockers will claim this is derivative crap from kids who owned a Velvet Underground, a Pink Floyd, a Doors, a Ramones and a Television album. But these people need to see that these bands are coming up with gold. Really!

There are, of course, many other bands worthy of being included in the Rock Renaissance, but this is the rock mix CD I made for a friend who wanted to know about this renaissance, as well as getting down with a bit of the old rock. (He fuckin' loved it, which was nice).
