Comment:
I put this together because I wanted to put together a bunch of songs I'd like to hear in a trendy club on Post Oak (the Martini Bar) in Houston. The first time I went, it reeked of "now" - if you didn't enjoy it that night you might not have a chance to enjoy it later because it would be obsolete by the time the FM radio crowd caught wind of it. I LOVED IT! So, these are some songs (some old, some new) that just sound good and put you in the mood to dance, romance, and be young (no matter what your age is). I'm also kinda' proud of being hip to certain songs that I know some people are trying to get their hands on that I have. Including the Cinemaphonic cut which plays low in the background of a recent health-club promo spot, the song from Mr. Oizo that is superior to the Oizo track used by Nike, one from a recent car commercial (the Lemon Jelly track) that I had months before VW decided to put it on the air and the Hybrid remix of the Alanis track, which I think was a DJ-exclusive promo. So, enjoy it while it lasts, kiddos. Exclusivity and hipness don't last long.
