Comment:

I loved "High Fidelity" (the book and the movie). After the movie came out I immediately got the soundtrack, but I was quite disappointed. First, a lot of the good songs played in the movie weren't there. Second, and more important, most of the songs mentioned in the movie were missing.
After I bought the DVD version I saw parts of the movie that got cut off, such as Rob's top 5. Turns out that Rob had a hard time deciding which are his top 5, so he named about 12 song along the way. I've managed to get most of them and I also added a few more songs that you can hear in the movie but not on the original soundtrack.
Now I'm glad to present the Fidelity's true soundtrack. Try this at home.

I made a 2-cd mix once with my best friend of all songs mentioned in the film. So this didn't necessarily include all of the music actually heard in the film, simply those songs that were discussed. Just another fun twist.

a great soundtrack for a great book (i'm still not so sure about the movie, but that's cause I think it should have been set in London)... All great songs..

wow....how cool is that?! I've heard the soundtrack is dissapointing. I adore the film and the movie, that's how I knew who Belle And Sebastian and The Beta Band were! ;)

Great mix, though it'd be cool to see some stuff from the book, like The Clash "White Man..."
Easily in my top Five records.

This is awesome! I love High Fidelity and also have the soundtrack--they did leave out an atrocious number of good songs. You've certainly repaired a lot of the damage. :)
