Comment:

One of my earlier mix CDs (possibly the second after having gotten the burner last February). With a general theme of any electronic music (techno, ambient, dance, industrial, etc.), it's another of my preferred mixes. Anyone with MuchMusic may recognize the Squarepusher track if you heard it - likewise with Lo-Fi All-Stars.

Actually, uber-beat was a movement in mid-sixties German gagrage rock popularized by the Monks who were displaced Americans living in Germany. It had nothing to do withelectronic music. I am such a jerk.

lo-fi allstars track is called battleflag. and this mix is waaayy too all over the place for my liking. bt, the orb, mdfmk, squarepusher, nin and apollo 440... i dunno, if it works it works but it looks a little sketchy to me.

Wow... I actually made up the uber-beat part... creepy. Thanks for that bit of trivia, Dib! And thank you for the actual track name of the Lo-Fi Allstars track, Jeff - it never quite sounded right to me, but I was too lazy to look up the actual track name. By the way, "all over the place" happens to be how I like my mixes - I try and make it prevalent in both the order of tracks and the total sum of the parts. I find it doesn't work for a lot of people.
